Where to buy one
Three doors, in the brand’s words: participating restaurants for a physical card, the website and app for either kind, and retailers “including, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, and many more.” The restaurant is the only door with a $5 minimum; the website’s minimums are $10 for an eGift card and $15 for a physical one, and it caps an order at ten cards of $100. Bulk orders go elsewhere: “Sent digitally or physically on orders over $500.”
Checking a balance
“Visit TacoBell.com/gift-cards, call the number on the back of your card, or check your balance in the Taco Bell app.” The page’s own number for a balance is (888)-999-5605, and the balance shows in the app once the card is registered: “We highly encourage you to register your card by downloading the Taco Bell Mobile App (available on iOS and Android), setting up an account, and linking your Taco Bell eGift Card/Gift Card to your account under My Info/Payments section.”
Lost, stolen or damaged
“The unused value of a lost, stolen, or damaged eGift Card/Gift Card as shown on our records can be replaced if proof of purchase is provided.”
- Freeze the balance on the card by calling (888) 999-5605.
- Fill out and submit the Gift Card Service Form; the brand says to allow 2 to 4 weeks for processing.
Without a receipt there is no replacement, in the brand’s words: proof of purchase is required for the protection of the cardholder from theft and fraud.
Cash back, state by state
A request goes through the page’s online service form, with three to four weeks for processing and payment by check, in the brand’s words. Everywhere else the balance is spent, not refunded.
