How Taco Bell publishes nutrition and allergens, in its own words
Taco Bell publishes its nutrition figures with a stated scope, a stated basis and a sodium icon, and its allergen tool with a shared-kitchen caveat, no gluten claim and no nuts in regular items; this site quotes each rule and applies it, two surfaces for every figure and never a free-of claim.

Taco Bell does not recommend its products for customers with celiac disease.

Vegetarian
Items designated as vegetarian on our menu are lacto-ovo, allowing the consumption of dairy and eggs but does not include any animal byproducts. Please note that in some restaurants we may use the same frying oil to prepare menu items that could contain meat.

The vegetarian page
Taco Bell’s Vegetarian Menu is certified by the American Vegetarian Association (AVA) and includes vegetarian options that will satisfy all your cravings. Vegetarian and meat ingredients are handled in common, and cross contact may occur, which may not be acceptable to certain types of vegetarian diets.

How this site applies them
Two surfaces, never one. A calorie figure on this site is the nutrition record and the ordering menu’s listing, both printed, and six items on the menus read carry a listing that does not match their record; each page says so. An allergen mark comes from the allergen tool and the ingredient statement together, and an item with no statement never passes a free-of filter: 135 of the 171 items with a record carry a statement and 47 do not. Gluten is never claimed for an item, in the brand’s words above; this site says made without gluten ingredients and links the caveat. The sodium icon is applied as the guide defines it, to the no lines at or above 2,300 mg.
What the records do not cover
Test market items, limited time offerings and multi-brand items are outside the guide’s scope in its own words, which is why a test market line on this site may carry a listing figure and no record. The guide is a national formulation; a restaurant’s substitution changes the figure, and the brand says so. Nothing on this site is a medical statement, and the disclaimer page says what the site is.
The three lists this policy produces
The vegetarian menu: 29 items pass with every component tagged certified vegetarian or vegan.
The vegan menu: 10 items pass with every component tagged certified vegan.
The allergen filter: every item that carries the brand’s made-without mark for each of eleven allergens, with the kitchen caveat on every row.
